ACHIEVING COOPERATIVE’S GOALS THROUGH EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT GOVERNANCE
Main Article Content
Abstract
Cooperatives play a strategic role in improving members' welfare and promoting sustainable economic development. This article discusses the importance of effective management governance, including transparency, accountability, efficiency, and human resource capacity development, in achieving the objectives of cooperatives as mandated by Law No. 25 of 1992. The research used the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method to analyse trends and challenges in cooperative governance based on 15 scientific articles published in 2017-2023. The results show that good governance can increase member trust, maximise the economic potential of cooperatives, and strengthen social solidarity. The adoption of modern technology and management training are important steps to overcome obstacles such as the low professionalism of the management and the lack of member participation. With the implementation of effective management governance, cooperatives can become a pillar of an inclusive and sustainable people's economy.
