International Journal of Economic and Business Studies (IJEBS) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. The journal adheres to the ethical guidelines set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

The responsibilities of authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher are outlined below:

  1. Authors’ Responsibilities
  • Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their submitted manuscripts are original, and any use of others' work must be properly cited or quoted. Plagiarism in any form is unethical and unacceptable.
  • Multiple Submissions: Authors must not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously.
  • Acknowledgment of Sources: Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. Authors should cite publications that have influenced their work.
  • Authorship: All individuals who have made significant contributions to the manuscript should be listed as co-authors. Others who have participated in aspects of the project should be acknowledged appropriately.
  • Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that might bias or be seen to influence their work.
  1. Editors’ Responsibilities
  • Fair Review Process: Editors evaluate submitted manuscripts solely on the basis of their academic merit, relevance, originality, and clarity, without regard to the authors’ race, gender, affiliation, or nationality.
  • Confidentiality: Editors must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, and publisher.
  • Decision Making: Editors are responsible for deciding which of the submitted manuscripts should be published, guided by the policies of the journal and legal requirements.
  • Handling Misconduct: Editors must take responsive measures when ethical complaints are presented concerning a submitted or published paper.
  1. Reviewers’ Responsibilities
  • Confidentiality: Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents.
  • Objectivity: Reviews should be conducted objectively, with clear, constructive, and unbiased comments.
  • Acknowledgment of Sources: Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors and notify the editor of any ethical concerns.
  • Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must decline to review manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships.
  1. Publisher’s Responsibilities
  • Integrity of the Record: The publisher is committed to ensuring that all published works follow internationally accepted ethical guidelines.
  • Monitoring Ethics: The publisher works closely with editors to maintain publication integrity and take appropriate actions in case of misconduct.

IJEBS will take necessary actions, including retractions or corrections, in cases where violations of publication ethics are identified.
